The Introductory Project to Cheap and Easy Agriculture Technology is hoped to disseminate cheap technology which is applicable to those interested in the agricultural field, particularly the low-income group, including youth and single mothers. Yesterday morning, two single mothers received the agricultural technology for the Brunei Islamic Religious Council, MUIB and the Community Development Department, JAPEM in Kampung Mulaut and Kampung Bengkurong.
The models were handed over by Dayang Hajah Aidah binti Haji Mohd Hanifah, Director of Agriculture and Agrifood. Each system planting unit costs between 30 and 50 dollars, with the potential monthly production worth 300 dollars. The Agricultural and Agrifood will also help to organise 'match making' - to facilitate farmers to sell their products through negotiation with nearby restaurant or supermarket, sell directly at the whole market or through online sale.
