The Hari Raya Aidilfitri Get-Together ceremony with new converts which is an annual activity organised by the Islamic Da'wah Centre, Ministry of Religious Affairs acts as a symbol of caring towards new converts especially those who live in the rural areas. The ceremony organised by the Tutong District Da'wah Unit with the collaboration of Muslimah and Youths of the Kampung Bukit Mosque in the Tutong District was held yesterday afternoon.
Among those in attendance were Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Abd Aziz bin Orang Kaya Maharaja Lela Haji Yussof, the Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Yang Berhormat Awang Haji Ramli bin Haji Lahit, Member of the Legislative Council who also the Penghulu of Mukim Telisai. The ceremony was enlivened with an Aidilfitri performance titled "Baju Raya" from the Village mosque youths.
The ceremony coincided with the presentation of donation in the form of basic necessities form Bank Islam Brunei Darussalam (BIBD) to 5 new converts in the village and prize presentation for cooking competition.
