His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam is now in Cairo, the Arab Republic of Egypt for a two day State Visit. Upon arriving at the Cairo International Airport, His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam was greeted by His Excellency Tarek El Molla, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, as the Head of Mission of Honour.
Also present to greet His Majesty were Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Erywan bin Pehin Datu Pekerma Jaya Haji Mohd Yusof, Second Minister of Foreign Affairs and His Excellency Pengiran Haji Mustapa bin Pengiran Haji Alauddin, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Brunei Darussalam to the Arab Republic of Egypt.
His Majesty then boarded a motorcade towards a renowned hotel in Cairo, where His Majesty will reside throughout the duration of the State Visit. During the State Visit, His Majesty will meet with His Excellency Abdel Fattah El Sisi, President of the Arab Republic of Egypt. This is His Majesty's second visit to the Arab Republic of Egypt. His Majesty's first visit to the country was in 1984.
