His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam in a titah reminds that His Majesty despises any tyranny happening in the Government. This is because tyranny undoubtedly will invite instant retribution from Allah Subhanahu Wata’ala, apart from more painful retribution in the Hereafter.

His Majesty also reminds that as leaders, they have the responsibility of carrying out the trust transparently and justly, have kind thoughts towards all subordinates as well as avoiding the practise of favouritism including the attitude of looking for the weaknesses or mistakes of the people under them.

The Monarch also expresses the belief that the absolute guarantee of a good and just leadership is the country receiving blessings in the form of harmony, solidarity and prosperity.

His Majesty made the titah at the Special Meeting of the Cabinet Ministers Council which took place yesterday morning at Istana Nurul Iman.

In the titah, the Monarch first touched on the ever-changing conditions that influence life to also change and sometimes must change.
