Bandar seri begawan: Two Iban siblings have embraced Islam during a ceremony held at the Kampung Lambak Kanan National Housing Scheme on the afternoon of August 29.
According to Radio Television Brunei, the ceremony was attended by Awang Haji Abd Rajid bin Haji Mohd Salleh, Director of the Islamic Da’wah Centre. The siblings have taken on new Islamic names, becoming Awang Muhammad Arsya Al-Faqih bin Abdullah Nanang and Dayang Nur Elyana Sofeana Azzahra binti Abdullah Nanang. This conversion is part of a larger trend in Brunei Darussalam, where since early January until August 25 of this year, 169 individuals have embraced Islam, with 82 of these conversions occurring in the Brunei Muara District.
