ICT Students Need to Equip Themselves for the Industrial Revolution 4.0

The School of Info-Communications and Technology, Politeknik Brunei has organised a programme which focuses on steps to empower the Education 4.0 and to coordinate the institution's effort with the country's approach towards the Fourth Industrial Revolution. The programme which is known as 'ICT.INNOV8' - pronounced ICT dot Innovate, was officiated yesterday morning at the One Stop Centre, Politeknik Brunei's main campus in Jalan Ong Sum Ping.

Present was Awang Alias bin Haji Abu Bakar, Acting Director of Politeknik Brunei. The programme is held for the second time, aimed not only to contribute IT literacy to the community but also plays a proactive role in shaping ICT talent in the country. A talk on new era in IT education was delivered by Awang Hairil Izwan Isamuddin, Manager of CompTIA. According to Awang Hairil Izwan, currently, technology has become part of daily life and ICT student should equip and prepare themselves with correct mind and attitude for their challenging career in the era of Fourth Industrial Revolution. More than 80 ICT students attended the programme.
