Impact of Online Learning

Touching on the impact of online learning, the Minister of Education explained that although schools were closed for 3 months last year, the results for the Primary School Assessment, Brunei-Cambridge G.C.E. ‘O’ and ‘A’ Level examinations has shown an encouraging improvement.

 

Yang Berhormat added that according to a survey, among the contributors to the improvement are focus in teaching and active pedagogy during online teaching. Speaking on the status of teachers and students undergoing quarantine, Yang Berhormat said it depends on their health status and facilities for online learning so that their education are not affected and teachers are able to carry out their duties. However, if they are unwell, they are exempted from online teaching or learning.
