Helping local entrepreneurs to be more confident is an objective of the "Making Brunei Big" entrepreneurship project which was held yesterday afternoon. Entrepreneurship and job opportunities for youth were among the topics shared during the dialogue. Apart from that, the project also aims to foster closer relations in the local entrepreneurs' community and give recognition to their potential and objectives as well as increasing collaboration between local agencies and institutions and an organisation based in the United States.
The session was also attended by Yang Berhormat (Retired) Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Aminuddin Ihsan bin Pehin Orang Kaya Saiful Mulok Dato Seri Paduka Seri Haji Abiddin, the Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports. Also present were Datin Paduka Doctor Hajah Norlela binti Dato Paduka Haji Abdul Jalil, the Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports; Scott Woodard, Attache at the United States Embassy in the country and Javed Ahmad, the Chief Executive Officer of DARe. The four panellists also discussed the digital technology of the Fourth Industrial Revolution which has brought much change in business careers and on how business is conducted. The project also provides a platform for local and aspiring entrepreneurs to communicate with other entrepreneurs and develop their businesses.
