The government of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam is committed in upholding the country's health professionals and workforce capacity building by making investments to provide various facilities as well as opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills in the field of medicine and those related to healthcare. Speaking at the Closing ceremony of the Induction Course for New local officers employed at the Ministry of Health, The Acting Director of Administration and Finance, Ministry of Health stressed that in ensuring the country's healthcare system is equipped with various sufficient infrastructure and technology as well as highly skilled and nobly behaved workforce.
Dayang Sufinah binti Haji Serudin added that the younger generation of officers who are qualified and energetic not only can contribute professionally but also bring about improvements to the existing services.
The function ran concurrently with the presentation of certificates to the course participants by Awang Haji Abdul Manap bin Othman, Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Health. Participants comprise of new officers at the Ministry of Health employed in 2017, 2018 and 2019. The course which began on the 4th of November included various activities such as briefings from a number of government agencies.
