Taqwa or piety is very important to a Muslim because it keeps the heart alive. The heart of a pious person is always guided by Allah the Almighty and the pious ones will always be protected by Allah the Mighty Protector and provided solutions for their problems. They will also be given rizqi or sustenance by Allah. The Minister at the Prime Minister's Office stressed the matter in a special talk titled, "Seeking Allah's Acceptance, Promise and Help" which was delivered to participants of the Informative Community Programme organised by the Information Department this morning. The programme participants comprised residents of Kampung Lumut 1 in the Belait District. Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Haji Awang Abdul Mokti bin Haji Mohd Daud added, Muslims should grab the opportunity of protection from Allah the Almighty in order to develop their spirit towards achieving an elevated and honoured position beside Allah the Most Sublime.
Touching on the obligation to obey Muslim leaders, Yang Berhormat said it is part of Aqidah or faith in religion. The Minister stressed that loyalty to the leader of the Muslim ummah brings blessings in this world and the Hereafter, and going against the leaders means destruction in this world and the Hereafter. Yang Berhormat also highlighted Allah's promise to the pious and faithful ones as well as additional blessings and rewards to the grateful ones.
The 40 programme participants were led by Awang Abdul Aziz bin Haji Abdul Ghani, Acting Village Head of Kampung Lumut Satu. The delegation was also briefed on the function and role of the Censorship and Exhibition Division of the Islamic Da'wah Centre, Ministry of Religious Affairs. Among other things, the Informative Community Programme, through briefings and visits, aims to enhance knowledge and disseminate information on development and the government's efforts to improve the living standard of the people. The event was attended by Awang Haji Abdul Rajid bin Haji Mohd Salleh, the Director of the Islamic Da'wah Centre and Awang Mawardi bin Haji Mohammad, the Acting Director of Information.
