Participants of the Informative Community Programme organised by the Information Department through the Community Relations Unit yesterday morning visited the Department of Radio Televisyen Brunei, RTB in the capital.
Participants comprise of more than 50 residents of Kampung Bukit Sawat and Kampung Merangking, in the Belait District. During the visit, participants were briefed on the main role of RTB to shape an informative and knowledgeable community through programmes of quality, cultivating a government image that is effective and sensitive as well as the medium between the government and people through radio, tv and new media. During the visit, the delegation took a closer look at the Radio studios namely Nasional, Harmoni, Pelangi, Pilihan and Nur Islam, which have their own roles and genres and broadcast daily. The Informative Community Programme aimed to disseminate official information on the government's policy so that the public will effectively understand, support and assimilate through the presentation of briefings, dialogue sessions and visits.
