The Informative Society Programme is a platform for the Information Department to disseminate official information pertaining to the government's policies and objectives for the society's understanding and support through briefings, dialogue sessions and visits. Yesterday morning, the programme was lauched at the Government Rest House in Kampung Rambai, Tutong District.
The programme involves 40 participants from Kampung Merimbun, Kampung Benutan and Kampung Rambai. In attendance was Dayang Hajah Noorashidah binti Haji Aliomar, Acting Deputy Director of Information.
Awang Hasanul Hidayat bin Haji Abu Bakar, Head of the Tutong Branch Information Department explained that the programme among other things aim to increase the participants knowledge, and disseminate the latest information on the government's efforts towards raising the people's standard of living.
It is hoped that the implementation of this programme can produce an informative and knowledgeable society in together upholding the government's aspiration for the implementation of Wawasan Brunei 2035.
The delegation then made a visit to the Wawasan Brunei 2035 Permanent Secretariat at the Prime Minister's Office. A briefing was delivered by Dayang Nur Edzalina binti Haji Idris, Senior Economy Officer at the Prime Minister's Office. The visit aimed to provide detailed explanation on the 3 main objectives that are the foci of Wawasan Brunei 2035, as well as the initiatives that are currently and will be implemented.
The delegation also visited the Jabatan Adat Istiadat Negara, where they were briefed on 'Terasul Dan Bahasa Pengganti Diri Dalam Bahasa Dalam' delivered by Awang Md Zaizul bin Haji Daud, Adat Istiadat Officer.
