The Informative Society Programme conducted by the Information Department aimed to disseminate information to the country's citizens and residents pertaining to the government's development as well as efforts in improving the people's standard of living.
Awang Hasanul Hidayat bin Haji Abu Bakar, Head of Information for the Tutong District Branch stated the matter at the Informative Society Programme's opening ceremony for residents in Kampung Ukong, Kampung Bukit and Kampung Long Mayan in Tutong District. The function took place yesterday morning at the Tutong Civic Centre. In attendance was Yang Berhormat Awang Haji Ramli bin Haji Lahit, Member of the Legislative Council who is also the Penghulu of Mukim Telisai. 62 people takes part in the 2-day programme, and the delegation was led by Awang Haji Omar bin Abdul Aziz, Penghulu of Mukim Ukong. The programme's itinerary include briefing sessions from the Syariah Affairs Department, Information Department and JobCentre Brunei, apart from a visit to the Brunei Arts and Handicraft Training Centre. Also present was Awang Mawardi bin Haji Mohammad, Acting Director of Information.
