The 38th ASEANAPOL Conference addresses strategic issues on various cooperation initiatives, programs, and activities in an endeavour to increase regional cooperation efforts against transnational crimes, including through a partnership with the dialogue partner and observers countries.
Brunei Darussalam becomes the host country for the conference after Singapore hosted it last year. The two-day conference is chaired by Dato Paduka Seri Haji Mohd Jammy bin Haji Muhd Shah Al-Islam, the Commissioner of Police, Royal Brunei Police Force. ASEANAPOL is committed to support the effective implementation of ASEAN Community Vision 2025 and the ASEAN Leader's Vision on a Resilient and Innovative ASEAN, through maintaining and promoting peace, security and stability in the region supporting initiatives in the ASEAN political-security community blueprint and comprehensively addressing crime areas including terrorism and violent extremism as well as non-traditional threats such as illicit drugs trafficking, trafficking in persons and cyber-crime.
