International Customs Day 2026 Celebration Highlights Role of RCED

Bandar seri begawan: The Royal Customs and Excise Department (RCED) under the Ministry of Finance and Economy emphasized its critical role as a defender of national security and promoter of fair trade during the International Customs Day 2026 Celebration. The event, held on the morning of January 26th, focused on the theme, 'Customs Protecting Society Through Vigilance and Commitment'.

According to Radio Television Brunei, the celebration was graced by the presence of Dayang Hajah Latifah binti Haji Awang Mahmud, who is the Acting Permanent Secretary for FISCAL TWO at the Ministry of Finance and Economy. The event featured a presentation of epaulettes to RCED officers who have dedicated over nine years of service. Additionally, the inauguration of the new Customs Agent Registration Unit Office was a significant highlight of the day.
