An online assistance application system is being implemented, and discussion on it has been held on the 8th of January this year, involving agencies such as the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports, Ministry of Education, Brunei Islamic Religious Council and the Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah. This was explained by Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Haji Awang Abdul Mokti bin Haji Mohd Daud, Minister at the Prime Minister's Office in response to a query raised by Yang Berhormat Dayang Siti Rozaimeriyanty binti Dato Seri Laila Jasa Awang Haji Abdul Rahman.
The Minister at the Prime Minister's Office said a centralised database system is planned to be implemented with the cooperation of Dynamik Technologies Sendirian Berhad. This system can be accessed equally by the related agencies, and its implementation can facilitate application process tp avoid duplication. This system will be implemented in phases to ensure the guideline on providing assistance and database can be synchronised, apart from ensuring the assistance can be provided to those who truly need it. At the moment, the system is in the early phase where its implementation focus on data collection and profiling on assistance recipients from agencies, apart from integrating information on the recipients and synchronise application processing streams from all involved agencies. This is to ensure the smooth running of the assistance payment process and senior citizen's pension, and the system will be operational starting this September.
