Japanese Culture and Film Festival 2025 Commences in Brunei

Bandar seri begawan: The Embassy of Japan in Brunei Darussalam, in collaboration with Times Square Shopping Centre, has inaugurated a 2-day Japanese Culture and Film Festival 2025. The opening ceremony took place on the morning of November 15th, marking the beginning of an event that runs until November 16th.

According to Radio Television Brunei, the festival was attended by Doctor Siti Norkhalbi binti Haji Wahsalfelah, Deputy Permanent Secretary for Culture at the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports. The festival features stage performances, cultural workshops, and exhibitions aimed at showcasing both traditional and contemporary Japanese cultures. Additionally, two Japanese films will be screened during the event.

The festival serves as a platform for attendees to learn about study opportunities, scholarships, and youth exchange programs in Japan. His Excellency Kikuta Yutaka, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Brunei, was also present at the event. The festival remains open to the public from 10 AM to 9 PM, offering a comprehensive experience of Japanese culture.
