Joint Operation

4 offences including a customs case and one Narcotics Control Bureau case plus 1 compound was issued by the Royal Brunei Police Force during a joint operation 'Operasi Sepadu' with various agencies last night at Kuala Lurah Immigration Post.

During the operation, 2 customs offences and 3 Malaysian men were detained for bringing in 19 packs of cigarettes, and 1 bottle of liquor. Meanwhile, another person was detained by the Narcotics Bureau for a drug usage offence. 6 enforcement agencies including the Royal Brunei Police, Immigration and National Registration, Royal Customs and Excise, Internal Security Department, Narcotics Control Bureau and Agriculture Department took part in the operation. 1 compound was issued by the police for installation of tinted glass on a vehicle. According to Inspector Faisal Iswandy bin Ali Othman, the Acting Commanding Officer of Limau Manis Police Station, the operation was part of continuous efforts by government agencies to curb crime and ensure Brunei's laws and regulations are adhered to.
