Joint Venture Agreement Signing Ceremony

Towards the best healthcare in Brunei Darussalam, the Jerudong Park Medical Center, JPMC established the first private Health Sciences College in the country in collaboration with Far Eastern University, FEU, Republic of the Philippines. The establishment of the college also supports the increasing demands, both locally and globally. The Minister of Health in his capacity as Chairman of the JPMC Board of Directors outlined the matter while speaking at the Signing Ceremony of the Joint Venture Agreement between JPMC and FEU. Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Doctor Awang Haji Mohammad Isham bin Haji Jaafar added that with the impact of COVID-19, there is a growing need for more expertise in numerous areas of healthcare.

Signing on behalf of JPMC was the Minister of Health, while on behalf of the JPMC College of Health Science Sdn Bhd was Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Dr. Awang Haji Mohd Amin Liew bin Abdullah, Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Second Minister of Finance and Economy with Dr. Michael M. Alba, President and Member of Board of Director of FEU signing on behalf FEU. The signing ceremony was witnessed by Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Lailaraja Retired Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof, Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Her Excellency Marian Jocelyn R. Tirol-Ignacio, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of the Philippines to Brunei Darussalam. The JPMC Health Sciences College, located at Jalan Ong Sum Ping, Bandar Seri Begawan, offers the Foundation in Science Certification and Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
