Joyous Get-Together Ceremony

The joyousness of the Get-Together Ceremony with the Citizens and Residents of Brunei Muara District can be felt when His Majesty visited the special tents. The close ties between the monarch and his subjects have made the ceremony a memorable one. Accompanying His Majesty were His Majesty’s sons and brothers: His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office; His Royal Highness Prince ‘Abdul Malik; His Royal Highness Prince ‘Abdul Mateen; His Royal Highness Prince Mohamed Bolkiah; and His Royal Highness Prince Haji Jefri Bolkiah.

As in the Get-Together Ceremony with citizens and residents in the other districts, the Brunei Muara District also celebrated the ceremony in a harmonious atmosphere. Citizens and residents had begun gathering in the capital as early as 7 in the morning to meet the beloved monarch.

The Transformation Products under One Village One Product or 1K1P were among the highlights. The lively atmosphere can be felt despite being conducted in the new normal. Civil servants, associations, chambers of commerce, financial institutions, non-governmental organisations and private sectors were among the attendees at the get-together ceremony.

The public also took the opportunity to capture memorable and meaningful moments with the beloved monarch. The presence of His Majesty at the Get-Together and Junjung Ziarah Ceremony with the citizens and residents is a historic moment that will not be forgotten by the residents.

For students studying abroad, the ceremony is an opportunity for them to express their thanks and gratefulness to the caring monarch. The presence of the Chinese Community proves their solid support of His Majesty’s leadership. Such an opportunity will remain as a tradition symbolising the closeness between the monarch and his subjects.

His Majesty and the Royal Family then proceeded to the Dewan Persantapan Lapau for a luncheon. Doa selamat was read by Awang Haji Sahrin bin Haji Kadih, Syariah Subordinate Court Judge.

His Majesty’s presence reflects the monarch’s openness and warm-heartedness to his subjects. His Majesty is an exemplary leader who focuses on the people’s welfare.
