Bandar seri begawan: The Syariah Courts, under the State Judiciary Department of the Prime Minister's Office, organized a Kesyukuran Ceremony and Doa Selamat to commemorate the 25th Silver Jubilee Celebration of the Syariah Courts. The event took place at the Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Mosque in Bandar Seri Begawan, highlighting the significant milestone in the courts' history. According to Radio Television Brunei, the ceremony was graced by the presence of Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Lailaraja Retired Major General Dato Paduka Seri Awang Haji Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof, who serves as the Minister at the Prime Minister's Office and the Second Minister of Defence. Joining him was Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Paduka Seri Utama Dato Paduka Seri Setia Awang Haji Salim bin Awang Haji Besar, the Chief Syar'ie Judge. Since their inception, the Syariah Courts have been instrumental in strengthening the Syariah judicial system in Brunei Darussalam.
