Brunei: The Rabitah International Alumni of Al-Azhar Al-Syarif Brunei Darussalam recently organized the 'Khayrat Azhari Programme', a charity initiative aimed at assisting new converts and the underprivileged across the country's four districts. The donation presentation took place on the morning of March 15th.
According to Radio Television Brunei, the initiative saw a distribution of donations in several districts. In Belait District, donations were handed over to four recipients by Dato Seri Setia Haji Abdul Aziz bin Orang Kaya Maharaja Lela Haji Yussof, who serves as the Ra'es of the Rabitah Executive Committee. In the Brunei Muara District, a total of 13 families benefited from the donations.
In Tutong District, four individuals received assistance, while in Temburong District, four more recipients were supported. The donations in Temburong were presented by Dato Seri Setia Dr. Haji Norarfan bin Haji Zainal, the Vice Ra'es One of the Rabitah Executive Committee. The main objective of the programme was to alleviate the financial strain on these groups, enabling them to observe the fasting month with gratitude and to manage expenses associated with celebrating Hari Raya Aidilfitri.
