The development and experience of writing in various genre specifically short story and essay was shared in the Knowledge Sharing Session of Mastera Writing Programme 2019 this morning. The session also provides exposure on the development of literature writing from time to time as an impact in participating the programme. The session was a post-guidance from the programme participants who have attended the Mastera Writing Programme: Short Story 2018 and Essay 2019 in Indonesia.
Present was Awang Suip bin Haji Abdul Wahab, Acting Director of Language and Literature Bureau. Five local writers shared their knowledge gained which was held in two sessions namely the sharing session with the Short Story Mastera Writing Programme alumni and Essay Mastera Writing Programme alumni. The sharing session aimed in giving exposure to the participants to join in the development of creative writing and literature at the regional level. Writers and literature enthusiasts in the Mastera programme needs to be active in the literature writing in magazines published by the Language and Literature Bureau.
Among those who attended were 60 young writers including several participants from the National Association for the Hearing-Impaired (OKP) assisted by Doctor Hajah Norbayah binti Haji Shahminan, Sign Language Interpreter. The knowledge sharing was held through the Literature Deliverance Project of Language and Literature Bureau as an annual activity of the Magazine and Literature Section for the year end activity of 2019.
