Latest Development on the COVID-19 Situation in Brunei Darussalam

One new imported case was reported yesterday bringing the total number of COVID-19 cases to 184. In the press release, the Ministry of Health informed that Case 184 is a man aged 29 years old who arrived in the country from Singapore on the 3rd of February 2021.

At present, contract tracing for case 184 is still being carried out and the case was admitted to the National Isolation Centre for treatment and monitoring. The number of recovered cases is 175 while 6 active cases are still being treated at the National Isolation Centre.

The last COVID-19 case was reported on the 6th of May 2020. Meanwhile, the total number of imported cases since the last one is 43.

541 people are currently undergoing mandatory self-isolation. Meanwhile, 12,776 people have completed their mandatory self-isolation since March 2020.

In the meantime, 349 samples have been tested for the SARS CoV-Two Virus, bringing the total number of lab tests since January 2020 to 94,954.
