Kampung salambigar: The Ministry of Health remains committed to promoting a healthy lifestyle and early screening for diabetes to prevent complications and improve well-being. In conjunction with World Diabetes Day, the Health Promotion Centre, in collaboration with the Endocrine Centre, Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Saleha Hospital, and several clinical departments, held a celebration with the theme ‘Diabetes and Wellbeing’. The event took place at a shopping centre in Kampung Salambigar on the morning of November 16th.
According to Radio Television Brunei, the event was officiated by Doctor Dayang Hajah Rafidah binti Haji Gharif, Acting Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Health. A key highlight of the celebration was the launch of an information book titled ‘Diabetes Jenis Satu dalam Kalangan Kanak-kanak di Brunei’. The book is designed to serve as a reference and teaching material, as well as a practical guide that can be used by parents at home.
