The Tutong District One Village One Product Guidebook is published as a reference and guide to the public and consumers. The guidebook is hoped further strengthen and broaden the marketing promotion of the Tutong District 1K1P products, and at the same time help to develop the industry towards one that is more productive and sustainable. Apart from that, it is also hoped to provide motivation to entrepreneurs so that they will be more active in enhancing the quantity, quality and productivity of their respective products in order for the products to be more competitive. Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Kerna Dato Seri Setia Doctor Haji Awang Abu Bakar bin Haji Apong, Minister of Home Affairs stated the matter at the launch of the Tutong District One Village One Product Guidebook at the Old Tutong District Office Building at Jalan Enchi Awang in Tutong Town, yesterday morning.

Yang Berhormat Pehin said the guidebook can spark healthy competition in the market and at the same time give a positive impact on consumers, entrepreneurs and the country's economy. The sales of 23 of the 97 One-K-one P products registered in 2018 amounting to 6 hundred and 15 thousand dollars is very encouraging. This is not inclusive of individual entrepreneurs under the ever expanding cottage industry. It is hoped that the sales amount still has the potential to be increased. The Village Consultative Council should not be satisfied with the income generated as it does not still provide assurance as a source that can help increase the village economy. Yang berhormat Pehin added that this effort has not even moved towards the category of small entrepreneurs. Therefore Village Consultative Councils should continue their efforts to enhance the 1K1P to become small enterprises and further expanded to a much higher level. This will in turn provide a higher income and be sustainable.

The Tutong District One Village One Product Guidebook which is a continuous effort of the Tutong District Office with the cooperation of the district's tourism promotion and coordination body, contains a listing of more than 100 types of products from 27 entrepreneurs. The book includes complete information on the entrepreneurs including contact numbers, price and types of 1K1P products categorised into food, drinks and health products.
