World Mental Health is celebrated on every 10th of October to remind the people worldwide about the importance of Mental Health. The theme of this year's celebration focuses on issues faced by youth such as cyber bullying, suicide and the early symptoms of mental illness.
The matter was raised at a forum during the launch of the World Mental Health Day celebration yesterday afternoon. The event which took place at the Ministry of Health was officiated by Awang Haji Abdul Manap bin Othman, the Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Health.
Among other things, the forum discussed the challenges faced by youths in a world which is developing rapidly and requires mental resilience in line with Islamic perspectives and current issues. In Islam, remembering Allah by reciting the Zikir and supplicating are among the ways to overcome mental problems.
