Launching Ceremony of New Commemorative Notes

His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam also attended the Launching of the New Commemorative Notes for the 50th Anniversary of the Currency Interchangeability Agreement between Brunei Darussalam and Republic of Singapore. The function was held at the State Room.

At the ceremony, His Majesty was accompanied by His Excellency Lee Hsien Loong, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Singapore. The Launching Ceremony began with a video presentation on the commemorative notes between Brunei Darussalam and the Republic of Singapore.

The Prime Minister of the Republic of Singapore in his opening address expressed his joy on the cooperation fostered between the two countries.

His Majesty in his titah among other matters touched on the 50th anniversary of the Currency Interchangeability Agreement that the monarch marks as another significant milestone for both countries. The agreement's success, which has contributed to macroeconomic stability, His Majesty stated in his titah, is also a tribute to the enduring relations of Brunei Darussalam and Singapore.

His Majesty then, together with the Prime Minister of the Republic of Singapore officiated the launch of the New Commemorative Notes in conjunction with the 50th anniversary of the Currency Interchangeability Agreement between the two countries.

The Ceremony concluded with the exchange of gifts between His Majesty and His Excellency the Prime Minister of the Republic of Singapore.
