Since the establishment of the Youth Volunteers to-date, it has always shown continuous diligence and commitment in providing service and deeds to the country. Looking at the ever-increasing commitment given, the spirit of Youth Volunteers continues to strengthen as well as receive support from the country's communities. Yang Berhormat Retired Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Aminuddin Ihsan dan Pehin Orang Kaya Saiful Mulok Dato Seri Paduka Haji Abidin, Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports stated this at the Launch of the Sixth Edition of the Youth Gazette in conjunction with the 300th day of the Youth Volunteers' establishment.
Yang Berhormat said that the youths have been given recognition especially for their service during the COVID-19 pandemic. The 6th edition of the Youth Gazette is a continuation of the previous Youth Gazette which recorded the activities of the Youth Volunteers from the first day. Through the Youth Gazette, 300 days of Youth Volunteers is meaningful to the volunteers as a platform of the important events experienced by the Youth Volunteers. Among those present was Yang Berhormat Dayang Khairunnisa binti Awang Haji Ash'ari, member of the Legislative Council.
The ceremony ran concurrently with the handover of contributions from Bank Islam Brunei Darussalam, B-I-B-D through its representative, Awang Haji Minorhadi bin Haji Mirhassan, Acting Chief Operations Officer to the Youth Volunteers. The contributions comprise vests and PPE's for the use of the Youth Volunteers while on duty. Since it began operations in March last year, 2 thousand 5 hundred and 11 people are registered under the Youth Volunteers.
