Over 400 participants are taking part in the 15 times Khatam Al-Quran Ceremony organised by the 'Persatuan Angkatan Belia Kampung Burong Pingai Berakas', shortly known as PERANGKAB. The Tadarus ceremony was launched yesterday morning at the Sufri Bolkiah Mosque in Kampung Perpindahan Berakas.
The ceremony acts as a remembrance of Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wasallam's Hijrah or migration. It encourages the members of PERANGKAB and village residents to read and love the Holy Book, apart from being active in religious as well as beneficial activities. In attendance was Yang Arif Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Md. Zaimi bin Haji Talip, Syariah High Court Judge.
With the launching of tadarus, participants will continue to read the 30 juzuk or chapters of Al-Quran for 15 times at their own residence until the Khatam Al-Quran ceremony that will take place on the 14th of next month. Also present was Yang DiMuliakan Pehin Orang Kaya Jurulatih Adat Istiadat Diraja Dato Paduka Haji Awang Mashor bin Haji Awang Metahir.
