Trainees of the National Service Programme, PKBN are urged to show their commitment and be brave to step forward to carry out beneficial efforts in building their individuality as well as empower patriotism through PKBN. This was voiced by Yang Berhormat Retired Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Aminuddin Ihsan bin Pehin Orang Kaya Saiful Mulok Dato Seri Paduka Haji Abidin, Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports at the launching of PKBN for the 9th intake yesterday morning. Yang Berhormat explained that through the 3-month programme, trainees can obtain new experience and learn the core to strengthen their individuality, build up physical endurace, instil characteristic and uphold the Malay Islamic Monarchy concept.
Yang Berhormat urged the the trainees to make the programme as a starting point to become a person that the country can be proud off as they are the 'Future Ready Youth' who will continue to shape the country in a world that is rapidly developing, apart from being literate in the worldly aspects as well as in the Hereafter.
Among the events lined up include a video clip presentation, performance by trainees of PKBN's 9th intake and PKBN oath reading.
Among those present were Yang Berhormat Awang Haji Emran bin Haji Sabtu, Member of the Legislative Council; Pengiran Mohammad Amirrizal bin Pengiran Haji Mahmud, Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports; and Retired Colonel Pengiran Haji Maidin bin Pengiran Haji Said, Deputy Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports.
