Her Royal Highness Princess Hajah Masna, Ambassador-at-Large at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs yesterday afternoon launched the Guidebook of Thai Restaurants in Brunei Darussalam. The ceremony took place at the Royal Thai Embassy's chancery in Kampong Kiarong.
Upon arrival at the Royal Thai Embassy, Her Royal Highness was greeted by Her Excellency Wanthanee Viputwongsakul, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Thailand to Brunei Darussalam. Her Royal Highness then signed the visitor's book and received the guidebook of Thai restaurants in Brunei Darussalam. The guidebook features 13 selected Thai restaurants and their signature dishes. Also present was Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Lela Cheteria Sahibun Najabah Pengiran Anak Haji Abdul Aziz bin Pengiran Jaya Negara Pengiran Haji Abu Bakar, Yang Di-Pertua of Adat Istiadat Negara.
In her welcoming remarks, Her Excellency Wanthanee Viputwongsakul said the launching of the guidebook is one of the Embassy's projects in conjunction with 35th Anniversary celebration of the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations between Thailand and Brunei Darussalam.
Her Royal Highness Princess Hajah Masna then took a closer look at the Thai restaurant stalls. The guidebook is hoped to promote Thailand-Brunei relations through Food Diplomacy as well as recognise quality Thai restaurants available in Brunei Darussalam.
