This transformation was underscored by the Minister of Transport and Infocommunications during the launch of the Navigating 2030 MPABD Five-Year Strategic Plan at The Empire Brunei.
According to Radio Television Brunei, Yang Berhormat Pengiran Dato Seri Setia Shamhary bin Pengiran Dato Paduka Haji Mustapha, Chairman of the Maritime and Port Authority of Brunei Darussalam (MPABD), emphasized that Navigating 2030 aligns with Wawasan Brunei 2035, the Brunei Darussalam Economic Blueprint, RKN 12, and the MTIC Strategic Plan 2030. It is also guided by the principles of Maqasid Syariah, providing an ethical foundation for safe, prosperous, and sustainable maritime development.
The Navigating 2030 initiative aims to ensure that MPABD upholds the highest standards of safety and sustainability, fosters a thriving maritime economy, and develops a quality, future-proof workforce. The launch event included a talk session and was attended by Pengiran Datin Seri Paduka Hajah Zety Sufina binti Pengiran Dato Paduka Haji Sani, Deputy Minister of Finance and Economy for Fiscal and Deputy Chairman of MPABD.
