Berakas: The Pencak Silat Sports Scheme Tournament 2026 raised its curtain at the Indoor Stadium of the Hassanal Bolkiah National Sports Complex in Berakas, marking the beginning of an exciting three-day sporting event. The official opening took place on the afternoon of June 5th, with Awang Haji Mohamad Rosfazilah bin Haji Yusly, Deputy Director of the Youth and Sports Department, officiating the ceremony. According to Radio Television Brunei, the tournament features a total of 34 categories and involves 10 teams consisting of 143 athletes. The event is a collaborative effort, organized by the Youth and Sports Department in partnership with the Brunei Darussalam Pencak Silat Federation, PERSIB. The tournament aims to promote the traditional martial art of Pencak Silat and provide a platform for athletes to showcase their skills and compete at a national level.
