Universiti Brunei Darussalam, UBD, yesterday morning organised the Nobel Laureate Lecture by Professor Sir Konstantin Novoselov, International Symposium on “Smart Materials for Green Energy and Sustainable Development” and MOU Signing Ceremony between UBD and National University of Singapore.
Professor Sir Konstantin Novoselov in his lecture titled, “Sustainability for Everyone” discussed the importance of advanced materials research to tackle issues to achieve sustainability. The lecture was followed by the Signing of Memorandum of Understanding between the Centre for Advanced Material and Energy Sciences, CAMES, UBD and Institute for Functional Intelligent Materials, I-FIM, National University of Singapore. Singing on behalf of CAMES UBD was Dr Haji Abdul Hanif bin Dato Paduka Haji Mahadi, Director of CAMES, while I-FIM was represented by its Director, Professor Sir Konstantin Novoselov. The signing was witnessed by Dr. Haji Azman bin Ahmad, Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Education and Dr. Hazri bin Haji Kifle, Vice Chancellor of UBD.
