The “Get to Know Our Local Food” Festival is back – offering a variety of local dishes. It was launched last night at the Anjung Saujana Restaurant at the Brunei International Airport.
The festival, the third of its kind, was launched by Doctor Haji Abdul Manaf bin Haji Metussin, the Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Primary Resources and Tourism, as the Chairman of the Royal Brunei Catering (RBC) Sendirian Berhad. In attendance were Datin Paduka Doctor Hajah Norlila binti Dato Paduka Haji Jalil, the Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports; members of the RBC Board of Directors; and representatives of Bank Islam Brunei Darussalam, BIBD, as the co-organiser.
It ran concurrently with the handing over of donations by RBC to the Children’s Cancer Foundation. The food festival is open to the public until the 11th of August, offering locally-famous cuisine, such as Ambuyat and Ikan Liking.
