Fruit season has finally begun where local fruit such as durian, rambutan, langsat, mango and jackfruit are abundant during this time of the year. In this regard, the Department of Agriculture and Agrifood is organising the Local Fruit Sale in Tamuneka Tutong in an effort to assist local farmers in selling their products.
In attendance was Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Ali bin Apong, Minister of Primary Resources and Tourism. Participants comprise local fruit farmers, as well as local food product entrepreneurs using local produce as their product's base. The local fruit sale is held until this Sunday from 7 in the morning to 6 in the afternoon. The Ministry of Primary Resources and Tourism are active in making a success on the project to increase local crop production output. Such a project will further boost local crop production output to meet increasing demand and reduce the country's dependence on overseas crops.
