Many people try to better their lives by venturing into business. Prophet Muhammad Sallahu Alaihi Wassalam has never prohibited Muslims from making business as a point of life improvement. According to a Certified Daie from the Brunei Islamic Religious Council, this is because Islam has always encouraged the Ummah to obtain wealth, as people with a multitude of wealth are those who are easily able to perform acts of worship unto Allah Subahanahuwataala. Awang Muhammad Fatin Abdul Rahman bin Kifli highlighted the matter in a special talk during the 1440 Hijrah New Year Celebration by the Ministry of Communications as well as departments and agencies under it.
Among those present was Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Abdul Mutalib bin Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Setia Dato Paduka Haji Mohammad Yusof, Minister of Communications. The ceremony was also filled with a Dikir Marhaban and Doa Kesyukuran to celebrate the return of the Ministry’s Haj pilgrims. The ceremony not only served to impart religious knowledge, but also strengthen relations between staff from the Ministry and agencies under it. Also in attendance were Awang Haji Azhar bin Haji Ahmad, Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Communications and Doctor Awang Haji Supry bin Haji Awang Ladi, Deputy Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Communications. The ceremony took place at the Ministry of Communications.
