Maritime Cluster Project Meeting

Brunei Darussalam’s first Stakeholder Engagement Maritime Cluster Project Meeting: Integrated Marine Maintenance Area and Decommissioning Shipyard, MMYDY was held yesterday at the Ministry of Finance and Economy.

Present was Awang Haji Musa bin Haji Adinin, Interim General Manager of Anson International, a consortium which leads the project. Awang Allen On, Director of Industry and Business Ecosystem Division in his opening speech explained that the Ministry of Finance and Economy said with the signing ceremony, Brunei Darussalam will have its first integrated marine maintenance and decommissioning and it is in line with the Brunei Maritime Industry roadmap. As the project enters the implementation stage, the contribution and cooperation of all stakeholders is essential for the success of MMYDY and the entire Industrial Road Map. The maritime industry road map aims to diversify the national economy towards achieving a dynamic and sustainable economy as part of Wawasan Brunei 2035.
