Mass Fardu Subuh Prayer

Performing prayers in a congregation has more advantages as in the sabda of the Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu 'alaihi Wasallam, "praying in a congregation is better than praying alone with 27 times more blessings'. Towards this, in further glorifying the National Level Israk Mikraj celebration, the Mosque Affairs Department, Ministry of Religious Affairs this morning organised a mass fardhu subuh prayer simultaneously in all mosques, suraus and religious halls nationwide.

In the Brunei Muara District, the function was focused at Jame' 'Asr Hassanil Bolkiah in Kampong Kiarong. Among the congregants were Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Kerna Dato Seri Setia Doktor Haji Awang Abu Bakar bin Haji Apong, Minister of Home Affairs; Yang Berhormat Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Haji Awang Othman; Minister of Religious Affairs; Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Ali bin Apong, Minister of Primary resources and Tourism; Yang Berhormat Awang Abdul Mutalib bin Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Setia Dato Paduka Haji Mohamad Yusof, Minister of Communications; Yang Berhormat Retired Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Aminuddin Ihsan bin Pehin Orang Kaya Saiful Mulok Dato Seri Paduka Haji Abidin, Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports; and Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Seri Maharaja Dato Paduka Seri Setia Doktor Ustaz Haji Awang Abdul Aziz bin Juned, the State Mufti.

The Dawn Talk or Tazkirah titled "Sembahyang Berjemaah Meraih Berkat", was delivered by Doctor Haji Mohammed Hussain bin Pehin Penyurat Haji Ahmad, Deputy Rector of the Sultan Sharif Ali Islamic University, UNISSA. Also present were members of the Legislative Council.

Meanwhile at the Setia Ali Mosque in Muara Town, the congregants comprise of Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Lailaraja Retired Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yusof, Second Minister of Defence. The Dawn talk titled "sembahyang Berjemaah Meraih Berkat" was delivered by Awang Muskrisman Safari bin Haji Mustapha, Religious Officer at the Islamic Dakwah Centre. Also present were Pengiran Haji Mohamed bin Pengiran Haji Osman@Othman, member of the Legislative Council and Major General Pengiran Dato Seri Pahlawan Aminan bin Pengiran Haji Mahmud, Commander of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces.

At the Sultan Sharif Ali Mosque in Sengkurong, the congregants include Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Paduka Haji Awang Abdul Mokti bin Haji Mohd Daud, Minister at the Prime Minister's Office. The Dawn Talk was delivered by Awang Haji Yusof bin Haji Abdul Majid, Special Duties Officer, Ministry of Religious Affairs.
