Mass Friday Subuh Prayer in Ramadhan Programme In the Brunei Muara District

Glorifying the houses of Allah with the mass prayers at mosques is the act of 'ubudiah' or servants of Allah the almighty, specifically performing mass prayers at all mosques during the month of Ramadan. In this regard, the Ministry of Religious Affairs continue its Mass Friday Subuh Prayer in Ramadhan Programme for the third week nationwide. In the Brunei Muara District, the programme was held at the Hassanal Bolkiah Mosque in Kampung Mentiri and Al-muhtadee Billah Mosque in Kampung Sungai Kebun.

Among the congregants at the Hassanal Bolkiah mosque was Yang Berhormat Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Haji Awang Othman, the Minister of Religious Affairs. The Programme commenced with a mass prayer of Subuh followed by the reading of Surah Al-Waqiah and Tadabbur Al-Quran delivered by Awang Haji Adi Aismat bin Lamat, the Darussalam Holdings Religious Officer. Also present were Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Abdul Aziz bin Orang Kaya Maharaja Lela Haji Yussof, the Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Religious Affairs; Awang Haji Mohammed Rosli bin Haji Ibrahim, the Permanent Secretary for Law and Welfare at the Prime Minister's Office; Awang Roslan bin Haji Tajaah, the Deputy Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Doctor Awang Haji Supry bin Haji Awang Ladi, the Deputy Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Communications.

Meanwhile Pengiran Dato Seri Paduka Haji Bahrom bin Pengiran Haji Bahar, the Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs attended a similar function at the Al-Muhtadee Billah Mosque in Kampung Sungai Kebun. The programme included the mass Fardhu Subuh prayer, the reading of Surah Al-Waqiah and followed by tadabbur Al-Quran delivered by Awang Abdul Hadi bin Haji Abdul Hamid, Qualified Daie of the Brunei Islamic Religious Council, MUIB. Also present was Awang Haji Mohd Serudin bin Haji Timbang, the Deputy Permanent Secretary for Policy and Religion at the Ministry of Religious Affairs.
