The Brunei Darussalam National Road Safety Council, MKKJR, continues to remind road users to start a journey with doa or supplications aside from increasing their awareness by giving their full attention and focusing while driving as well as practising prudent driving. Drivers are also urged to always place importance on safety as well as the practice of using seatbelts, not using mobile phones while driving and to always adhere to the set speed limits as well as the traffic signs displayed in order to maintain safety for all. To seek blessings in all efforts and planning carried out towards safety on the roads for the well-being for all, the MKKJR this afternoon held a mass sunat hajat prayer and Ratib Al-Attas at the Kampung Lambak Mosque in Berakas.
Present was Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Abdul Mutalib bin Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Setia Dato Paduka Haji Mohammad Yusof, Minister of Transport and Info-Communications, as the Chairman of Brunei Darussalam MKKJR. Also present were Awang Haji Mohammad Nazri bin Haji Mohammad Yusof, Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Transport and Info-Communications as the Second Deputy Chairman of MKKJR; Pengiran Mohd Amirrizal bin Pengiran Haji Mahmud, Deputy Permanent Secretary for Transport, research and Development at the Ministry of Transport and Info-Communications as Secretary of MKKJR; Awang Haji Hairul Mohd. Daud bin Haji Abdul Karim, deputy permanent Secretary for Infocommunication, cybersecurity, strategy and corporate and Awang Haji Osman bin Haji Md Jair, Chairman of the Brunei Insurance and Takaful Association, BITA as the Ambassador of MKKJR. The mass sunat hajat prayer and reading of Ratib Al-Attas is a monthly event of the National Road Safety Council held specifically to seek blessings from Allah Subhanahu Wata'ala so that the country, especially road users, is always protected from accidents and unwanted incidents.
