After the 2-day conference, a number of agreements have been reached especially in internationalising South East Asian literature which is not only focused among the MASTERA members but is further enhanced so that MASTERA crosses borders. Dayang Hajah Sariani binti Haji Ishak, Acting Director of Language and Literature said this at the Closing or Adjournment ceremony of the 24th MASTERA Conference 2018. The function took place yesterday afternoon at Pondok Seri Wangi Restaurant, Jerudong Park Playground.
Present was Datin Paduka Dr Hajah Norlila binti Dato Paduka Haji Abdul Jalil, Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports. Dayang Hajah Suriani in her adjournment speech said that in the future, the South East Asia Literature International Seminar will not only be held in MASTERA member countries but will also be held in other non-member countries to foster cooperation ties between relevant parties. She added that MASTERA will also fully benefit the use the information technology particularly in further disseminating MASTERA products in the form of e-books or e-journals or transferring MASTERA products to a new media form. This is vital as MASTERA is inline with the industry 4.0 wave development.
The function coincided with signing of the 24th Conference Adjournment, witnessed by Datin Paduka Dr Hajah Norlila. MASTERA will make efforts to take advantage of the ASEAN declaration, MoU’s or documents related to the context of the MASTERA community so that the MASTERA reach also crosses ASEAN member nations.
