The Brunei Tourism Board will be organising the Brunei December Festival 2017, which is the first event organised by the Brunei Tourism Board in collaboration with several stakeholders. The festival aims to unify several events and activities which will be organised by various event managers in conjunction with the school holidays. One of the activities is the Youth Ibadah Camp, which will be organised by the Mosque Affairs Department, Ministry of Religious Affairs. The matter was disclosed by Awang Wardi bin Haji Mohammad Ali, Deputy Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Primary Resources and Tourism during a media conference yesterday afternoon.
According to Awang Wardi, the Youth Ibadah Camp is one of the events which has been lined up for the festival in December, which will see the involvement of youths from the 4 districts at several identified mosques. He said that the program is also open to tourists who wish to take part, adding that they will be put together with local participants of the program.
Meanwhile, Pengiran Haji Haslin bin Pengiran Haji Ali, Acting Director of Mosque Affairs explained that some 500 male and female mosque youths from across the country are expected to take part in the Youth Ibadah Camp. The Youth Ibadah Camp will be held in the four districts. The program will not only focus on religious activities, but also recreational and sports.
