The Ministry of Transport and Infocommunications has identified a number of important matters that need to be dealt with extensively including The Security Assets and ‘Personnel’ safety including cyber threats and the provision of effective transport systems and disruption to network services. The Minister of Transport and Infocommuncations shared the matter during a meeting session with members of the Legislative Council. In the session which took place yesterday morning, Yang Berhormat Pengiran Dato Seri Setia Shamhary bin Pengiran Dato Paduka Haji Mustapha also shared several achievements accomplished by the Ministry.
According to Yang Berhormat, in terms of the transport sector, the second edition of ‘The Save and Smart Driving of People Brunei Darussalam’ book and the Road Safety educational series were launched last year. In an effort to improve the quality of the public bus transportation system in the country, the pilot project of the passenger bus information system has also been introduced.
The session which was held at the Ministry of Transport and Infocommuncations, was to listen to a productive two-way discussion for all parties towards achieving the goals of the Ministry. The session also had the opportunity to examine various issues and challenges related to the transport and infocommunications sectors, reviewing the achievements of the Ministry as well as the strategic plans that have been, are being and will be implemented.
