The ‘Menyusuri Sejarah Kitani’ Programme by the Brunei History Centre aimed to bring history closer to the community, aside from perpetuating the country’s history and heritage through briefings on historical places, and further enliven the Brunei December Festival 2022. Held in collaboration with the MTMIB Secretariat Office, Darussalam Motorcycle Association, PEMODA and the Brunei Museums Department, the programme took place on 26th December morning, at the Brunei History Centre in the capital.
The event began with a briefing delivered by Doctor Haji Muhammad Hadi bin Muhammad Melayong, Principal of the Brunei History Centre. This was followed by the presentation of the certificate of appreciation by Doctor Siti Norkhalbi binti Haji Wahsalfelah, Deputy Permanent Secretary for Culture at the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports to Pengiran Haji Redzuan bin Pengiran Haji Ahmad, president of PEMODA. The programme that was held for the very first time carried the theme Our History, Our Pride.
The function continued with the 70-member convoy flag-off, where the group travels along roads and passed by historical landmarks in the country.
