The Malay Islamic Monarchy, MIB Dissemination Working committee under the Media, Publicity, Exhibition and Printing Sectoral Committee in conjunction with the Golden Jubilee Celebration of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam's Accession to the Throne, this morning held an MIB Open Day. It was jointly conducted by the Curriculum Development Department, Ministry of Education and the Islamic Studies Department, Ministry of Religious Affairs.
The event began with the flag-off of the Cabaran 3-B or 3-B Challenge, an acronym for the words Bekarih, Bejarih, Belurih, by Yang Berhormat Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Haji Othman, the Minister of Religious Affairs. Also present were Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Lailaraja Retired Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof; Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports; Deputy Ministers, Permanent Secretaries; Deputy Permanent Secretaries; Directors and Deputy Directors of the ministry.
The event ran concurrently with a 'Morning Walk' to Taman Mahkota Jubli Emas. The Open Day aimed to openly disseminate MIB to the society at all levels, loyalty to a monarchical reign, and resolution to maintain peace, prosperity as well as happiness in an independent and sovereign MIB nation, with a core of Islamic teachings according to Ahli Sunnah Waljama'ah based on justice, trust and freedom.
