Ministry of Health has updated its Policy on Visits to Government Hospitals

Following the current COVID-19 situation in Brunei Darussalam, the Ministry of Health has updated its Policy on Visits to Government Hospitals effective yesterday, 9th May 2022.

Patients must have Green or Yellow BruHealth code. Red or Purple BruHealth code is allowed ONLY if admitted to wards or in need of medical treatment. Patients must wear masks at all times and maintain physical distancing.

For outpatients: They must have proof of negative ART within 24 hours. Those without BruHealth or proof of negative ART are required to perform ART at designated ART swab stations using their own or personal ART kits.

Visitors must report at the allocated checkpoints with Green or Yellow BruHealth code and proof of negative ART within 24 hours. Only two designated visitors, excluding carers, are allowed per patient during every visit session.

Children under the age of 12 are not allowed to enter wards or units. Visitors are only allowed to visit patients in cold zone wards. Only one visitor allowed to accompany patient for appointment or medicine collection. All visitors must wear masks at all times and maintain physical distancing.

Carers must report at the allocated checkpoints before entry to wards including obstetric ward and labour room. Must have Green or Yellow BruHealth code and show to the staff on duty at the nurse’s station or reception counter proof of negative ART.

Only one carer per patient is allowed. Change of carer per patient is allowed and will be subject to similar terms and conditions as above. For more information, call Talian Darussalam 123 or visit the website www.moh.gov.bn.
