Development study on sanitation facility at Lambak Kanan and at Kampong Ayer is expected to develop and improve the existing sewerage system in the country.
A collaborative project titled “Infrastructure Development Study for Sanitation Facilities in Brunei Darussalam for a period of 2 years” was signed in a Memorandum of Collaboration (MoC) between His Majesty’s Government and SK Engineering and Construction Co. Ltd from the Republic of Korea.
Present to witness the signing was the Minister of Development, Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Indera Pahlawan Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Suyoi bin Haji Osman.
Signing on behalf of the Ministry of Development (MoD) was Awang Chua Pheng Keong, the Acting Director-General of the Public Works Department. Meanwhile, the SK Engineering and Construction company was represented by Mr Choi Chul Kwang, the Chief Executive Officer.
Also in attendance were Awang Haji Muhammad Lutfi bin Abdullah, the Permanent Secretary of Administration and Finance at the Ministry of Development and His Excellency Mr Jeong Yeon-Man, the Vice Minister of Environment of the Republic of Korea. The study will assist in generating sustainable development, maintenance and management of the sewerage facility using a public-private-partnership approach.
