In line with the Universiti Teknologi Brunei, UTB aims to develop and cultivate interest in the fields of Smart Environment and Smart Farming, yesterday morning, UTB and Datastream Technology, DST signed a Memorandum of Understanding, MoU. The signing ceremony took place at the UTB's Main Conference Room.
Singing on behalf of UTB was its Acting Vice-Chancellor, Awang Haji Ady Syarmin bin Haji Mohd Taib. While, DST was represented by Awang Radin Sufri bin Radin Basiuni, Acting Chief Executive Officer of DST. The MoU involves the projects research which will be conducted in the country, including the "Peatland Project" in Badas and "Paddy Project" in Wasan. DST collaboration play an important in supporting the telecommunication requirements of the projects and to support UTB in their Smart Agriculture initiative using modern high technology that sustainably increases the quantity and quality of agricultural products. The signing ceremony was witnessed by Ms. Jennifer Voon Nyuk Hiong, Director of Industry and Liaison Officer of UTB, and Hajah Safrina binti Pehin Orang Kaya Laila Setia Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Abdul Rahman, Senior Manager of Group Corporate Communications of DST.
